General Responsibility
This committee has the responsibility of ushering people into the church for corporate worship and making them comfortable.
 
 Ushers
Ushers play a vital role in ushering worshippers into the presence of God for corporate worship. They serve as God’s ambassadors who should make worshippers feel welcome in the house of God. The maintenance of order as a requisite condition for the worship is critical to their function.
 
Specific Duties
- Welcoming worshippers and conducting them to their seats when necessary.
- Distributing hymnbooks, bulletins and programmes.
- Collecting the tithes and offering
- Helping to maintain order in and outside the church, for example, seeing to the proper parking of vehicles.
